The Words of life

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

Through out the Old Testament God the Father sent his word through dreams,

and visions to the prophets.

But it wasn't enough and never could restore that which was lost in the Garden of

Eden.

So God brought the law as a container for his creation; it was a framework for man

To abide in. A set of rules that would keep him alive and separate him from becoming

like the animals in the field, and it was also designed to keep mans ultimate

dependency rooted in God.

Even so the law was external to mans heart, but it did bring a sense of righteousness

And order, but it was still only a pain killer to relive the constant ache of mans

Seperation from his father It could not restore him into the relationship that all of

Creation was longing for:

Romans 8:19 The earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits the revealing of the sons of God.

And that the Father so desperately wanted, the law could not restore the relationship

that was before the fall, the relationship of Father and son.

So God used the ultimate expression of him self and his will

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through

the flesh, God did by sending his own son.

Jesus, the living breathing, expression of his heart and will.  To come and live and

abide amongst us.

Jesus took off his royal heavenly robes and put on the garment of humble flesh and

came down to earth to bring the very life and light of God.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. And we

beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of

grace and of truth.

So we see the Fathers will made known through the living word, Jesus.

We see Jesus heal the sick, raises the dead, miracle after miracle to make known the

word and the heart of God. Then ultimately when Jesus has shown the love of God

manifest, he goes still further and through his sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross opens a

door in Heaven that cannot be shut.

(Rev 3:8)  I know your works. Behold, I have given before you an open door, and no one can shut it. For you have a little strength and have kept My Word and have not denied my name.

The door that Sin had securely closed Jesus smashed down and become as Isaiah said

the Restorer of the breach.

Giving every man woman and child the choice of eternal life through his death and

Resurection on the Cross-. We can come now as the redeemed and restored, we can

through our choice accept Jesus as Lord, and we can through his salvation become

Totally flooded with his life and love and know the life of God in this earthen vessel.

But the truly amazing thing is that through Jesus sacrifice the word of God is again

living but this time it also lives in us.

And as Jesus the Holy lamb of God we become the very expression of the Father,

through the transforming power of the cross.

Like Jesus we can heal the sick, set the captives free, we are anointed to bring Gods

Oil of Joy and Garment of praise, we are filled with the Holy Spirit giving us the very

Gospel fire.

But what does that mean for us now, in a world that cannot see the truth for the lies,

cannot hear the calling voice of God above the noise of our own business.

John 6:63 it is the Spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing. The

words that I speak to you are Spirit and are life.

Through his spirit in us we are truly living, and when we speak from this life in us the

words that we speak will bring the life of God to the hardest heart.

Our word will make the difference of life and death to some one. It is truly that

simple.

Do we choose to speak the words of life or not.

Jesus asked his disciples after this, are you going to turn away too?

And they rightly said

John 6:68 Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the Words of eternal

life.

John 6:69 And we have believed and have known that You are the

Christ, the Son of the living God.

It really is our choice though. To believe who we are in Christ, to truly believe that

our witness could be the last chance,  the last defense and barrier against an eternity

separated from the light of God in Hell.
